The instructor/manager, Master
Jason Pfeffer is a 5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.
He is a former US Collegiate Team member and US Olympic Festival
medalist. He has over 20 years of teaching and
coaching experience, both at a national and international level,
including as Assistant Team Coach for the
Republic of Ireland
at the 2003 World Championships in
Germany. Master
Pfeffer has also taught taekwondo at a university level, including at
University of Michigan, Michigan
State, Eastern Michigan and DePaul.
He is currently a member of the Legislative
Committee of the World Taekwondo Federation and recently acted as Legal
Counsel for the WTF Election Committee in the last two elections.
Master Pfeffer is a student of Grandmaster Hwa Chong, 9th Dan,
former USTU President and Executive Council Member of the WTF.
Master Chong has taught a number of national and
international medalists, most notably Olympic Bronze Medalist and
former US
Coach Han Won Lee and Olympic Gold Medalist Lynette Love.
Outside of Tae Kwon Do, Master
Pfeffer is an attorney. He received his JD from
DePaul College of Law, MBA from Wayne
State
University and BA from
Michigan State
University. Prior to
practicing law, he worked for the PGA Tour, General Motors and Smith
Barney. His wife, Gina, is from
Dublin, Ireland.
